Sanlúcar de Barrameda is located in one of the warmest regions of Europe, Andalusia, and is one of the main communities in the province of Cádiz, the most southern province in the Iberian Peninsula. This city is located in the northwest of Cádiz, on the left bank of the mouth of the Guadalquivir River, the longest navigable river in Spain and on the opposite bank of the main natural reserve in Europe, the National Park of Doñana.
Sanlúcar has a microclimate with the mildest temperatures in the province. Its climate is similar to that of the Mediterranean areas, with pleasant temperatures all year around and an average temperature of 17º C.
One of Sanlucars strongest features is its light, with different intensities and shades, very appreciated by expert photographers from around the world. We have around 3000 hours of sun per year. This favors the amiable and hospitable nature of the sanluqueños (Sanlucars habitants).
